Editorial Policy

Document: Editorial policy for Laurel Dry Pros website content. Effective November 1, 2026.

Who writes our content

Pages and guides are written by Laurel Dry Pros Editorial, the team behind this website. Content draws on our water damage restoration work in Laurel, MD and on the public sources listed on each page.

How we research

  • We start with the questions Laurel-area homeowners actually ask.
  • We use primary sources where we can: the U.S. EPA, FEMA, the National Flood Insurance Program, the Maryland Insurance Administration, the Maryland Department of Labor, Maryland statutes and local utilities such as WSSC Water.
  • We follow the ANSI/IICRC S500 standard's water categories and classes when we explain restoration methods.
  • We list our sources on each page so you can check them.

How we fact-check

Before a page goes live, we check each figure, deadline and rule against the source we cite. If we can't confirm something, we leave it out. Pages show the date they were last reviewed.

What we don't do

  • We don't publish fake reviews, ratings or testimonials.
  • We don't claim certifications, awards or licenses we can't show.
  • We don't publish price lists, because every job needs an inspection.
  • We don't give legal, insurance or medical advice. See our disclaimer.

Review cycle

We review service pages and guides at least once a year, and sooner when a law, policy or public guidance changes. Insurance and legal pages get extra attention.
